Audiowrap Install and Review!

Ok people....me and buddy decided to deaden my roof today! With great results i must say! We started with a single layer basically all the way across and then doubled up in area's we thought might be trouble spots. The product feels good and is easy to work with.We didn't even have to use a roller through most of the install. This is some VERY sticky stuff! lol The only thickness i had to compare the Audiowrap to was some Second Skin Damplifier Pro.This stuff was not as thick...yet i didn't expect it to be. Damp Pro is the upper model of SS and i have never had any orginal to compare with.Though i was told Audiowrap did have some 10mil thick line coming out ! Anyway we got the roof done and it was a night and day difference! Even halfway through the resonance of the front uncovered panels was already being affected by the covered mass. The stuff does work! I got a few pics...but the meat of this review is in the video....where there was a before and after test done.(I'm working on the vid now) But i can tell you that i can tell a major difference just through the music and frequency response of my vehicle! I can actually enjoy my lows without the constant thud of my roof ruining my listening experience! I'm sure the resonance frequency of my car is lower now and i am thankful! All in all i must say this is a great product from a new company and i can only see things getting better! Well...that's all i got ..lol...The video will do ALL the talking for the product from here!

Also i will say my one complaint is the backing on the deadener....it's not as easy to remove as other deadeners backing....other than that....happy camper here!

This is great, just found out that the manufacturer of Audiowrap is the same people that created Peal & Seal! lol They realized people were using it for car audio applications, so the created a product that was more geared to car audio, created a new brand and found a new niche.

Marketing geniuses really.

Protecto Wrap is the proud manufacturer of Audio Wrap at our plant in Denver, Colorado. Protecto Wraps primary focus in the past has been building and construction products. We make over 100 products with various adhesives with film, fabric and aluminum top layers. We have heard that installers have used our commercial window flashing products sold at Home Depot in their vehicles with positive results and at a lesser cost. It is true that most any thick adhesive can work to help deaden vibration if you install it in your doors or trunk. However, we recommend whether you use our product or our competitor’s product you insist on a Butyl adhesive, it has superior adhesion to metal and in cold weather for application and long term use in your vehicle. The aluminum constarint layer does provide superior sound enhancement for installers that love thier music and bass. We have tested every sound deadening competitor that we could get a hold of and all the commercial building products available, AudioWrap sticks and works as good or better in every instance. If you have any questions about comparing AudioWrap to the competition let us know. We want you to get your monies worth and be well educated with all the marketing and misleading products out there. Thank you, from Protectowrap: the proud manufacturer of AudioWrap.

Peal and seal, huh? Watched a few vids on youtube. That stuff has made a good difference on guy's installs. I need a little hear and there in my car. I can't do much about the hatch but the darn gas tank vibrates like crazy. It's already broken 2 bolts loose on my bumper, which I fixed. Good topic.
