Re: best sub for small box

Regardless of which subs you get, I would suggest mounting them inverted (magnets out) if at all possible. That will give you more net internal airspace, but more impotantly your voice coils will run...

Re: Alpine Type R VS. RF T1

Just fyi, the new 2010 type r's only have one spider, but they take more power, have better cooling, and have even more x-max than before - 21mm one-way linear, and x-mech is 72mm peak to peak. I'm...

Re: New Type R's

I now have a set of the new Type R's. They are still breaking in, and seem to be getting better as time goes on. I never had the old Type R's, so the closest thing I can compare them to is my old RE...

Re: 4 12's in a small box, Will anything else beat Type R's for ~$125 each?

4 12's in a small box, Will anything else beat Type R's for ~$125 each?

Hi everyone, I've been beating the crap out of my RE SR12's for nearly three years and I finally managed to kill two of them - ripped the voice coils rite off the cones! Anyway I can't complain,...

Re: Twin Towers BUILD LOG

That ht receiver should do just fine for everyday use, but you should get a big pro audio amp or something to see what those 18's can really do. Aren't they rated like 550 watts rms each?

Re: 4 Fi Audio IB3 18's walled off 15Hz tune in a VAN BUILD LOG

It'll be interesting to see how this build turns out. I've been thinkin about sealing up my trunk and running three IB3 12's instead of the four RE's I'm currently running. It might not pound quite...
