Default what sub for 4000rms

for next season im running 2 18s.
i have two visonik V4000xd amps to use. (orignally for 4 12s)
my question is what r some subs out there that can handle 4000 rms. the 18s or for my wall wich is 21 cubes tuned to 39 hz. so odvoulsy the subs need to play some music as well.
sound quality is not an issue though it is a competition system.

already thought about the 18inch solo X and even the 16inch earthquake holees.

thanks alot

Atomic APX 18s BWAHAHA! I say this because I barely see anyone running them..and frankly I haven't much of a clue about them and that's why I keep asking questions about them. I DO know they are rated for 5k rms.

You might want to look into Fi BTLs

Steve Meade is running 4 of the 18s with all options, each on a Rockford Fosgate T40001bd, over 4000 watts to each sub.

meade plays music through his alot. He dosen't have what i call an SPL setup. Remember, the 2000 watts is with no options added. Power handling increases with the options added.

so u think the TC with the 4hp can handle more then its 2000 watt rating as well.

worst comes to worst i run the MTs and just run like 2000 daily 4000 for comp.
eh?

2 Fi BTL 18"s with all options.

Standard BTL 18" has 2000w RMS handling and 16mm Xmax, add all the options (chamfered pole piece,3rd magnet cooling and Hixmax coil) and the bishes will take 4000w RMS all day long on music.

2 Fi BTL 18"s with all options should cost like $938 shipped.

HiXmcoil makes turns ups the excursion from 16mm to 27mm.

I asked Kyle about running a 5400 LMS on 4kw daily, and he recommended the TC 5200 instead. He's pretty much hinted that with the 4HP motor, it'll take whatever you want to throw at it.

For the most part, the TS params dont really matter given the ultimate application (SPL), and I know for a fact that posting TS params will cause more problems then not posting them... as people will plug them into their favorite box program and wonder why it is telling them to put their BTL15 in 0.5 cuft tuned to 64 Hz for a flat response We recommend very similar designs for daily applications as we do for the SSD or Q series. They work well in that.
FS for the BTL 15 ranges from 39-61 Hz depending on coil and spider combinations. Even with the 61 Hz, you will still have great bottom end simply due to the motor force making it happen. 1W/1m ranges from 92.2-93.8. Not too bad considering that none of tha parts are light weight... but we have overbuilt them for most applications to handle the abuse we know people will give them. Bl alos ranges from high 20s to over 40 depending on coil. But again, Bl isnt always a good thing to look at either, as I can have a large gap, lots of small wire, and still have an ultrahigh BL... but it wont have as much overall strength as if I stuff a larger OD coil in the same gap with less turns (lower Bl).
I am trying to get all of the standrd BTL specs up on the site over the weekend, and the optioned BTLs will be in the tech section once it is finished (with explanations for each of the different options).
