Well, I'm wanting to do a (another) system in my 93 Explorer 4 door. I want to go with the ZX2500.1 amp but i can't decide on subs. I was thinking about going with 4 Alpine 12" SWR-1242D's ported @34 HZ in a 10cu. box or 8 Alpine 12" SWE-1242 sealed. I really want to limit myself @ $2000 for everything and still want something with decent SQ. Any ideas or thoughts?
1996 Pontiac Trans Am Planned
35% front windows (legal) and 25%~ rear window What is done:
Kenwood MP4028 HU running Blaupunkt Components Front & Back
Kicker ZR240 bridged @ 2 ohms ~300rms to 1 10" Type R in 1.75 cu ft tuned to 30 hz
just wondering is there anyone with a system in a older explorer? I'm just curious about port placement. My last system i had the port towards the side window.
ALSO....is there anything BAD about the Type R 12's, I hear people call them the " Hype R" alot. J/W
