Default recomendations

I have a 2007 ex-cab chevy and will need to keep the back seat in tack and need a suggestion on what subs to use. I have a Alpine mrv-m1005 amp that will provide 1000 watts and 2cubic feet of space to work with, I currently have a pair of 12" cvr's downfiring but needless to say they aren't cutting it. I have considered 4 10's, 4 8's or 2 12's, I'm looking for SQ with a little SPL also. I'm not really happy with the downfiring box it seems to make the bass a little muddy sounding. Also not looking to spend a million on new subs. Had originally considered type r 12's but decided i think i can do better.

Thanks,
Scott

you only have 2cu ft and you want to put that many subs in it?

I would say take out one of thoes CVRs, it would sounds alot better.

I would say a type r would be loud....

maybe a 10?

Im thinkin maybe two dd 1508's,
ported would be the way to go if you could, if not sealed would still sound nice

OK if 1 ported sub (12") would sound better or louder than the 2 cvrs, I don't know thats why I'm asking.

Personal experience is always the best advice, so I would prob go w/ either of these. Porting the CVR isn't a bad idea either, but the DD's would be my choice. Excursion is fun too!

If you can, id say buy another amp, and get 4 10" Fi SSDs.

Thanks for all the responses guys but I'm stayin with the one amp and I not gonna buy another thats one of the reasons I am not goin with the type r's I cannot change the rear seat or remove it so space is very limited and on top of that if I ever do go to a competition I don't want to be in the higher watt classes with the big boys. I'm lookin for a sugg. on which low Power entry level sub/subs might be good for me.

Hmm I say 2 elemental designs 11OV2 tuned to 35Hz, in a 2 cuft box would be perfect.
