Default subs on an angle?

i heard putting a sub on an angle can cause damage....also is 5.7 inches of mounting depth enough for a sub with 5.45 mounting depth...

And Im sure you have personal experience with this...

As for mounting them at an angle, if its a big Speaker with a heavy cone it can start to sag and rub a little over time.

experience with what.

building boxs plenty.

mounting the subs at an angle two of mine and a few friends with 15's and 18's were set up for about a 1 1/2. no issues what so ever. if there was a problem you would here about frequencly in fiberglass enclosures where subs are almost always angle.

to the op i didnt grow up in Compton its white boy or cracker

If the sub has a vented pole piece and you are running a lot of Power I recommend a minimal of 2" of clearance. I have seen a lot of people cook their subs because they only had a little clearance on a sub with a vented pole piece.

thats what i was about to post
the sub cant push out all the hot air that it should, so it gets too hot
too much heat = 1 coil; well done

YOu should be fine mounting it on an angle unless it has a very loose spider. Whats the qts on your sub? if its .4 and under you're probably fine.
