Default 2 Premier 12's or 2 Alpine Type-r 12's

Hey guys, I'm down to the buying some new subs for my Starion (the blue Car in my sig) in the next couple days. I'm not trying to break any records or anything but I do want like 120-130 db. I was running one Type-r and I was pretty happy with that, but the sub didn't like a 1000+ watts RMS. So I need your opinions about either getting 2 Pioneer Premier 12's or 2 Type-r 12's. I know there are tons of other subs but between these two...which one would you go with? My budget is about $300-$350 for subs.

Or should I just get one Orion HCCA 12.2 and call it a day?

You guy's opinions would be great. Appreciate it.

Well it looks like I just bought a brand new Orion HCCA 12.2 this morning. I had been talking to the guy and he just dropped the price so I jumped on it.

Yeah, I'll be looking forward to getting this installed. I mean it would of been about the same price for 2 of the others but I've heard a lot of good stuff about the HCCA 12.2. NEways if it ever blows I can re-cone it which is cool.

I would personally go with the Premiers. I've had both, and to me the Premiers are a little more musical.

I'm debating the same thing as well. I was thinking about getting (2) 12" Premier 3002 subs, the ones that handle 1000 watts RMS. I currently have (1) RF bD1000 and I'm sourcing another one. From what I've researched, these subs are supposed to be pretty good for the money and get a little bit louder then CVXs. We will see.

I ended up going with a single Orion HCCA 12.2, instead. Problem is it's busted all to hell b/c UPS is so ruff. It's trash. They'll be here tomorrow to inspect their f@ckup and cut me a check. I'll keep ya'll posted.

I'm partial to Pioneer personally. I've been using their equipment for over 15 years. I'm looking for a change though, I've been reading up on those Orions, they're pretty beast. Definitely a good choice.

The Pioneers are great subs and they get low. But I have been abusing Type R's since they 1st came out. They are tough subs and get loud as well. It depends on what your looking for. For the price you really can't go wrong with either. Thats just my opinion...

It was bolted inside a crate with cardboard stapled to the outside to hide the contents.
