Exclamation 2 10's.........150db

So I was on audioque's website and I saw that one guy hit 150db with 2 hdc3 10" subs ran off a Soundigital SD5k (1 ohm version) amp in a sealed box. is this even possible. if so i will just get 2 12's and run them off a crescendo audio 3kwp amp ported box in my trunk instead of going all out with a wall for 4 15's.

let me know what u think

i got my info here
Audioque

1. he has a CRX, know for being the easiest cars to get loud in.
2. what you don't see is the crazy ass port he's running out the back. Probably tuned to something obscenely high.
3. he's running a smaller than normal box to toss as much Power at them as possible.

In other words, he's going for SPL and nothing else. I bet it sounds like junk.

thanks, i took it into our local shop to have it db'd and they brought out a cd with a sine sweep on it, i looked at em and said um that isnt gonna work. after i played some tracks off my flash drive with the truck sealed up and mic at the windshield he got out and said DAYUM my nose itches. lol first time the bass hits if im playin a cd it skips bad wont play it anymore lol, its really even kinda suprising me for what it is, i see everyones flexin vidoes on youtube and now i wanna go take a flex video of my back hatch, doors and roof. i get about an inch of flex in the roof, and the glass in the hatch looks like its about to pop.

could i do that without the 4th order bandpass? i really dont like bandpass because of the tuning and how there prone to one loud frequency. i listen to music still. so could i do a blowthrough with a ported box?

4th orders can be very musical.
But not with subs with very high EBP.
So the HDC312 is out. It would be one notish.
But if you were to take something like a SSA Icon, TC Axis, Fi Q, Possibly an AQ SDC2.5, DC lvl 3, etc then it could sound great.

With a pair of 16OV2s from eduhhhh I had a flat response from 30Hz-80Hz or so, with a bit of a blip around 70-80Hz from standing waves. It was great on music. But it didn't dig as low as my old box that was ported and tuned low.

Default Re: 2 10's.........150db

I stand corrected... he is doing 147~ with the Wal-Mart setup... The 150+ is the same car, same guy but he had 4 10"s and I don't know how much power. Still a gutted CRX, still a tiny ass sealed enclosure.
