ok i havebeen discouraged after listening to my coworker setup... i origanlly was going to mess with 4--- Jl w6... (PLEASE STOP HATING ON JL).. i happen to listen to his 1 - 15inch fi and damn he was pounding hard as a mf,,,.. I am looking to do better ... No need to school me on the enclosure and all. ( thats like a duh when it comes to subs) I just want honesty when i am asking,,
I am looking at Ssa.-.xcon....Dc level 4.......LANZAR OPTI1533D ,,,,dd9500 series... so help a bass head out budget is 500 max per sub ... and be honest not bias,,,Car is a 1976 New yorker .... i will get amps later so .. i am looking to get either 4 of any or 2

What kind of space do you have to work with? Fitting a pair of ported 15's in a trunk is no easy feat in most cars.

dd 9500 for straight in your face spl, or ss xcon for a daily beater thats louder than most but sounds good.

stay away from the opti they cannot be reconed... any of the rest should do fine...if you want great sq do the JL...

wow .... well he forgot to tell me his btl was a N2... its 2000 rms,,,,, but anyways i see the T3 is about 5000 Rms...is it true ssa is in the family of btl, just the lower end? Thanks but no thanks on buying a used sub.....Do any one Know the price of a T3 or dc level 4 15inch sub?

SSA is a brand of subwoofer, Sound Solutions Audio. You might be thinking of ssd which is a more daily oriented subwoofer produced by Fi audio. My friend has two ssd 12's on a sundown 1500 amp and it pound like crazy, and sounds good doing it.

i know myself and a few others have never been able to get them to send a recone.... they are mysteriously always out of stock....and for a sub that costs 200 - 225 ( 1533 ) 100 is a tad high for a recone....
