None of those are under $250 for a pair Burke.

I'd say Crunch GPV's if they can be found or the dependable Type R's.

Sundown e12s would probably be my pick, then type arghs or the diamonds. Skar ivx fits the bill also, specs look good but I don't know that much about them.

that skar is only 300 watts.. a pair won't take 1500.

OP I recommend the BRZ series. Audiopipebomb is trash. The only good line from Planet audio is the big bang series now.

Sorry, I misread what he said.

Sundown E series for sure.

OA-12s would still fit the bill

Type-Rs would be good too.

The Obsidian Audio 12's have a 3 month wait, a friend was going to order one last night. I told him to just pick up a Sundown SA. I would say GPV's are going to be the pound for pound best buy here.

They're only free shipping when on back order. When in stock, nope. But who wants to wait 3 months for a sub :P

I vote Type-R's. Hell ive always wanted to own a pair of Type-R's.

276 is hardly over 250, which is why I still recommended them. Good luck getting two type-rs for under 250 shipped too.

Actually, according to my testing scores I'm somewhere around the top 20% in the nation so eat it :P Thats nothing to brag about but damn it I won't be called average. If I actually did my work in school I would be way higher up there lol

But this isn't about my inability to push buttons on a calculator or even do the math I'm my head. You guys know my buying habits. I ALWAYS go over budget.

I see this recommendation hasn't popped up yet, but honestly when we're talking about not having much to spend:

HFi12D4 | HIFONICS HFI 12D4 12-Inch 1200W Subwoofers (Pair) : VMInnovations.com

I love mine and they'll live just fine under your Boltar, I ran my pair at 1200RMS for a while

I don't see the GPV's available at the places they used to be, but Hifonics has a similar replacement, you'll have to research them yourself but they look decent:

http://www.vminnovations.com/Product...ers-Pair-.html

Also don't let this forums bandwagon jump away from Audiopipe amps scare you, they're not that bad and will warranty their stuff. Just make sure to run it as soon as you get it, no use letting it sit in your closet 6 months and run out half the warranty only to find it needs sent back. I've installed many, they're all working to this day, only one annoying issue (had to return one of the APSM-1300s twice).

I've installed a pair of these and was impressed both times. SMD ran this amp in their 1500 watt amp challenge and made over 1800 watts from it.:

http://www.vminnovations.com/Product...Amplifier.html

I've installed this amp as well:

http://www.vminnovations.com/Product...Amplifier.html

several times now, GREAT footprint for the 1000rms it produces (this was the one I had to send back 2 of though, a capacitor was running into one of the clamps for the mosfets, third one is perfect, I've installed 3 in 3 different cars now).

Finally this is the amp I personally run:

http://www.vminnovations.com/Product...Amplifier.html

It looks extremely well built and will make you proud to own it. SMD ran this one and it made over 1400 in the same 1500 watt challenge. You can go up to the 1700 for $50 more but you have to ask yourself if you really need the extra power.

that is a pretty good deal $180 sheeped to his door, but he would need to hurry and get them before anyone else does because they only have 2 in stock.

If you could run at a higher ohm load, I like Dcon's.

Except I don't use the "bandwagon" as a means of hating. I know how cheap of pcb's they use and the quality of their components inside. There is a reason they are so cheap man. They can't sell them without making a profit. My buddy had 4 ap3k's literally blow up on him and he is a very experienced installer. I don't mean to direct this at you but I have my reasons for disliking audiopipebomb.

And the zeus is slightly different that the gpv and can't take as much power but a decent amount nonetheless.
