Default suggestions on 15" sub for 3.5 cubic foot box 35hz

So I currently have 1 sundown sa-15 in a 3.5 cube box tuned to 35hz. with 1.8k rms available I'm assuming it wont last forever. Which subwoofer would work well in that box and that power? budget is <$350

my other thought was to go with 2 12's and make a new box. but that would require more work and time. I'm assuming output would be fairly similar between, say 2 sa-12's on 1.8k watts vs a beefier 15 on 1.8k? opinions appreciated!

I was looking at the icons. at $360 it's the most affordable option. I've heard that the SQ on these are quite amazing. How would the output compare to my current sa-15?

That looks like it's quite a beast. I'll keep my eyes open for a used one. I prefer to buy new stuff though

Talk to Alan Hall or Taylorfade on Caco.com about the Tantric subs. You can have it built how you want to fit the space you have and shouldn't cost you more than $300 to take that power.

RE xtx 5000.1,which I've been skeptical about. So I finally convinced my friend to test it for me. he said just under 1800 at 14 volts.

icon would definitely outperform the sa in output and sq.

tantric would also be a good choice, if you can get over the looks of em.

so guys there's was a misunderstanding. after talking to the builder of the box, and taking measurements to confirm... the box is 4.2 cubes and tuned to 36.7hz. Also, I acquired a fi bl 15 fully loaded. It will be going into that box. Will the re amp be ok to wire down to 0.5 ohm, or should I get a different amp?

I would not wire to .5 on that amp, unless you have a very good electrical system, and even then it is iffy

I dont trust 0.5 on that amp. It seems U.S. Amps made the new RE Amps more for profit(if there even making them). It sure has alot of power though. But i mean REALLY? Do you really expect 5000watts at 300 dollars lolol.

Well I mean since the 5000 watts is peak power then you really wouldn't expect that if you can read the specifications sheet.
