Default Wireing Quad Coils

Is it true that you can Wire a Quad 1.4 Ohm Coils and get a 1.4 ohm load by wiring Series/parallel???

i came up with 0.175, 0.7, 2.8, or 11.2 ohm configurations. someone correct me if i'm wrong.

in your case, the 0.7 ohm configuration might suit you best. however, it is under the 1 ohm load which your amp can handle, but with impedance rise, you should be alright.

yea....with quad vc.....a series/parallel will result in a final impedance thats the same as the impedance of a single coil.......in the case of my sub, which is quad vc......i can Wire it to 1/2 ohm, 2 ohms, or 8......its not like other quad vc subs.....some subs are like mine, but most are just like having 2 dvc subs
