Default Opinions on a 1 sub dealeo

Ok I need your opinions on if this was a good setup for the money or not and if the spl is good for these subs??? I paid about a total of 150 on the subs and box. They are 2 12" Pyle Blue Waves in a Bandpass and im getting about 131 decibels on my meter. And only 1 sub is hooked up.

p.s. also im only 14 years old and I set ALL of this stuff up

Pyle is a Pile Of...(im sure you know what im sayin), its less than mediocre.. so.. you could have probably done a little better.. them subs are not for SPL, the bass response im sure is sloppy, and off, and sounds horrible, especially in a prefab bandpass box.. BUT.. if it satisfies you, then that is all that matters.. also why only 1 hooked up? and being 14, you are not off too a horrible start, so dont sweat it.. you have Plenty of time to upgrade til you get your license..oh yeah.. to make them louder? well what kind of amp do you have going to them? and are they SVC or DVC and what coil configuration? (meaning 2 ohm or 4ohm?) from there, we can give you a better idea of what to look for to make them louder.. other than that.. your best bet is to find out what the recomended box size is for them, sealed and/or ported.. but id probably run them sealed, aside from your bandpass box.

Ok, I blew 3 home stereos with these subs, so thats y i only have one sub hooked up, yes i know what ur thinking...well ur correct i have a HOME stereo hooked up to the Car and the subs in the back seat while the stereo sits in the passengers side. They are 4 ohm. I am doing this just so i could hear what they sounded like in the car...im gonna buy a jl 500/1 amp to run them tho when i sell my paintball gun, and they will be going into a MUCH smaller car then the tank(caddy).

I used to run 2 Pyle Pro 18's back in 1988 off of 2 300 watt Pyle Pro amps, so we've all got to start somewhere. It hit 149 on the old, old Audiocontrol, so I'm sure that's like a 130 on the termlab, but that was the loudest thing around back then in my town.

I would look around more, there are better amps for the price than the 500/1 that will get you better spl. There are a ton of subs to choose from, a ton of amps, it all depends on your price range. I'm an SQL guy, so I'm kind of partial to the high end Eclipse headunits, but for SPL I'd have to go with Alpine. The Eclipse is very nice, but doesn't have pause, so it's tough to meter and almost impossible to compete in DB Drag. The best box is the one YOU build, even if it's your first build, as long as you start out with a decent box plan, can cut a straight line, and read a little about how to do it, your box will always be better than a prefab.

do you have an amp to power 3600 watt subs....

305 seems like its not goin to cut it getting an amp thats going to power those..

I mean any amp will power them but is it giving it sufficient power it would be better to get subs that wil utilize and amp in that range..
