dreadnaut 15 review

Hey all, i got the dreadnaut in. I couldn't be happier. I have been playing all types of music, and it shines on everything. It is very clean and accurate. It gets loud even though i am under powering it. I'm running 1000rms, and it is rated for 1500. I feel like it could handle more than that without issue. It does very well on "hifi" music. It can play accurately and not be overwhelming, but when you want it to dig low and be nasty, it does so effortlessly.

What box are you running it in? I'm glad you are happy.. mmats makes great subs and are great people to deal with

I designed and built my box. It's 3.63 cubes after all displacements. I'm using a single 6 inch precision port. It's tuned at 32hz. As it broke in, it's playing lower and louder. It destroys the lows effortlessly. The sound quality is flawless. I have jl audio c5 components front and rear, and even at full tilt everything sounds the way it should. I am not even giving it it's full rms, and i can shake pictures off the walls from 15 feet away. I am very impressed and pleased. I will be a mmats supporter from now on.

I knew you would be happy.. got my first Mmats subs because the guy thought they were blown.. but the juggernauts actually broke the box.. I put them in the proper box and have never looked back.. 14 yrs later and I still swear by them

Haha. Those things are beasts. I put one old jugg 15 in a jeep with a mmats high current class d 1200 watt amp, and it was loud. One of the tinsel leads was frayed, but it still got down. I plan on getting the mmats 1400.1 eventually.

Re: dreadnaut 15 review

That's a solid amp.. as much as I swear by the subs (monster being my favorite) their amps are the cream of the crop.. and I've said it before and I will keep saying it - the customer service you get will always be top notch

I've only installed the hc1200 and the new 1700 that does 700 at 1ohm. That little thing beat the crap out of a pair of old re se 12s. I install for Horizon Motorsports in Canton Ohio. We are a mmats dealer.

Re: dreadnaut 15 review

The 6150 is the 6 channel full range class d.. wicked little beast.. the m series is their top sub amps.. about to put the 4k on my son's triple stacked, quad spider monster of a juggernaut 18.. oh and did I mention a little birdie talking about the 5k 2 channel full range monster they r putting the final touches on? My kid is chomping at the bit for that one lol

Re: dreadnaut 15 review

Can you imagine 5000 watts of full range power? That's some serious mids and highs lol

Re: dreadnaut 15 review

Oh that six channel is nice. I saw the guts, sex. 5k full range is just nonsensical, but I'm not mad about it. Lol.

You may know one of our salesmen. His name is Mike Mack. He runs 4 jug 15s in a blazer. He took first place last year in nationals.

Re: dreadnaut 15 review

Lol. My dad got me into stereos, but i have always wanted bigger, better, and clearer. I love that even at full tilt it's crystal clear and balanced in my car.

Re: dreadnaut 15 review

No don't know him but sounds like my kind of guy lol.. my son plans on a jeep with 4 jugg 18s in a 4th order wall for next year's comp season.. I had ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with that lol .. but at least he will stop breaking stuff in his brand new Kia .. ok wishful thinking lol

Should be an intense setup. I wanted to do an 18, but i don't have room in my trunk.

Ill support the hell out of Mmats. Been rocking them since my step dad had two 15" Wavedrives. I now have a 15" Dreadnaut pushed with their m2000.1 in a single cab '95 f150.. And it is a beast...
