grtrat1 06-10-2006 03:51 PM

no one in the world will know what DB you will do unless they have the EXACT same setup and vehicle as you do and had it metered. Then you will have a "ruff" estimate of what yours will do.

learn the basics of car audio.

learn the basics of sound.

learn the basics of electricity.

learn the basics of installation.

then apply them.

then come back.

I can't recall how many times that question has surfaced from newbies to Car Audio. (sigh)

Bonio86: the answer to your question will be revealed when you put what you have in a vehicle, and measure it with an SPL measuring device at distances determined by the listener position. I hope this helps.

From the vagueness of your question somewhere between 0dB-180dB.. That should be a pretty good range to expect.. Feel free to elaborate anytime because that's a terrible question. It's just like telling us you have a honda and asking how many horsepower your car has.

even then they wouldn't know.. even if it's so much as a SNEEZE into the box it will change it just that much.. Different circumstances get different results.. it could be a whole degree colder in the other person's car and change it.. who knows.

ok, well read all those and then think about what you asked, if you ask it again, you will probably get a hefty timeout, so I'm warning you.

i love spl 06-11-2006 01:04 PM

you will hit exactly 322.1 db's

just kiddin

ROE 06-11-2006 01:19 PM

i don't want to make is seem that forum is giving you the cold shoulder or putting you down, however it's true that you can never assume how many dB's a sub will produce which such vague information. even with detailed information, it's still hard to detemermine the system output.
