Copper vs aluminum coil
I know a copper voice coil is the standard coil used when reconing most subwoofers . It’s light , a great conductor , good thermal rating , and lower FS than an aluminum coil. My question is when doing a heads up comparison to the two , with the aluminum coil’s capability of having a high FS affect its ability to perform in a low end response application ?
Also knowing aluminum coils are used in SPL applications , will having an aluminum coil have a major affect on a subwoofers ability to perform in a musical application? |
