2006 Civic Si ASM build log

Guess I will put up a build log as I've got some modifications to my Si. Nothing major and will update with new parts when I get them on.

Quick info on the first year for the 8th gen:

"The Si was redesigned for the 2006 model year along with all other Civic trims, bringing about significant changes from the previous generation. The car comes with a 2.0-liter K20Z3 i-VTEC engine that produces 197 hp (147 kW; 200 PS) and 139 lbfft (188 Nm) of torque, while also including a 6-speed manual transmission with a helical limited slip differential. Forty percent stiffer spring and dampening rates from the non-Si trims and stiffer sway bars have bolstered the Civic Si's handling,[3] with the car achieving 0.90g (8.8 m/s2) of lateral acceleration on the skidpad. It is also the quickest Civic Si off the line, with a factory 0–60 time of 6.7 seconds according to Honda ****(real world figures put it at 7 seconds)****,[4] Standard features include a moonroof, a seven-speaker 350-watt sound system, 17-inch alloy wheels with 215/45R17 Michelin all-season tires, and key-less trunk access."

2007 was when the sedan was introduced for the 8th gen SI.

Its way more yellow now since they have some hours on them:

Be warned I shot this one with a potato:

Decided to replace my reverse lights with white LED's:

I then painted the fogs yellow (since then its warn off and now clear):

Interior:

Changed out all the interior lights to blue and added blue led courtesy lights:

(Warning another potato shot, camera didn't want to focus correctly with the blue interior)

It was time to replace the shift knob and boot:

Common man where are the intake pics and such? And pics of the turbo? Of course you will need to go buy the turbo to take pics of it. I'll wait.

Performance oriented mods:

Trans

Aluminum based shifter bushings:

I also swapped out the stock shifter bushings to a hard plastic over the stock rubber. I never took pics of these

Engine

3.5" Hybrid Racing intake (silicon tubing eliminates any heat soak that metal tubing introduces)

iirc its the only intake with a bypass element in which eliminates hydrolocking

Hondadata flashpro

Manager software

Here is the rough dyno and where my car stands:

This is an Edyno so I'm looking at roughly 190+ WHP (this was before intake so I'm looking mid 90's with the intake)

Just recently I installed a Engine torque dampener which I haven't done pictures of it yet. I'm looking to paint it in the near future along with my intake cover and valve cover. Looking at doing Red

Burk:

Took some time to find pics of everything. All scattered throughout the net...

98:

Lol... you going to give me 5K to toss down on a complete turbo kit? Granted I could sell my audio and a few other things and get close to the 5K...

A few planned mods are exhaust and header upgrade.

I'm looking at the Full Race 3" exhaust and Skunk2 alpha header combo, new CMC and shifter cables, short shifter.

F/I/H/E I'm shooting for right around 220 WHP. After the bolt ons I will port the stock IM to right around 68-70 and put in a J35 TB.

Then may look at cams to bring me up to 250. Probably won't do turbo as I'm more of an All motor type guy. Plus my car with 450-500 HP (stock internals) is scary lol
